Overview
Inzu Connect ("we", "our", "us") operates the property management platform available at inzuconnect.com and its subdomains. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our platform as a landlord, administrator, tenant, assistant, or visitor.
By using Inzu Connect, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Data we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Company data: company name, address, email, and payment details (DPO token, bank account, mobile money number).
- Tenant profile data: national ID number, ID document images, vehicle information, insurance details, employment information, banking details, and next-of-kin contacts - collected to fulfil tenancy agreements.
- Payment data: transaction references, amounts, and status. We do not store raw card numbers. All card payments are processed by DPO Pay.
- Maintenance data: descriptions, photos, and notes submitted with maintenance requests.
- Contact messages: name, email, phone, company, subject, and message content submitted through our contact form.
Information we collect automatically
- Session data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and session token - used for authentication and security.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken - used to improve the platform.

How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and company profile.
- To process rent payments and issue invoices through DPO Pay.
- To send transactional emails - invoice notifications, payment confirmations, maintenance updates, lease expiry reminders, and password resets - via Brevo.
- To send optional WhatsApp or SMS notifications if enabled by your company administrator.
- To generate analytics and reports for your company dashboard.
- To automate background tasks - monthly invoice generation, overdue detection, and lease expiry reminders.
- To respond to support messages and enquiries sent through our contact form.
- To maintain the security of the platform and prevent fraud.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We do not use your data for advertising, nor do we sell your data to third parties.
Storage & security
Your data is stored on enterprise-grade servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). We maintain daily backups with point-in-time recovery capability.
Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We conduct regular security reviews and follow OWASP security guidelines in our development process.
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext. Session tokens are rotated on login and invalidated on logout.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data is retained for 90 days for legal compliance purposes and then permanently deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
- Objection: object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
- Restriction: request that we restrict processing of your data while a dispute is being resolved.

Children's privacy
Inzu Connect is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, send an email notification to all registered users.
Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
